Lostock Blue the foundation sire at Lostock Stud arrived in 1988 with the intention of him becoming my hunter. Lostock Blue had a golden temperament and was left entire and the story began.

Lostock is a name that is well recognised in coloured horse circles and also has plain horse connections. Blue has sired HOYS winners and Champions both coloured and plain, numerous winners showjumping and a couple of advanced event horses.

He was a tremendously tough horse and in 12 seasons hunting never missed a day. He is now enjoying a semi retirement being hacked round the welsh hills by a good friend of mine. Maralyn and Sylvester even managed to do a couple of veteran shows. His sons, daughters and their progeny now take over the story.

We are a small stud based in the Cheshire/Derbyshire Borders. It has always been my policy to show and compete homebred stock. A change of direction of recent years has seen us trying to breed some ponies for my daughter to ride in the future, some of these will be great grand children and grandchildren of Blue and Huntsman.
